Book

The Rose and Crown Inn is a traditional village inn with comfortable accommodation, located in Ashbury and nestling at the foot of the White Horse Downs, in one of the most scenic areas on the borders of Wiltshire and South Oxfordshire.

    - en-suite accommodation
    - beautiful country setting
    - lunch and evening menu

The inn's location is ideal for guests, whether walkers, holiday travellers or business people seeking a quiet alternative to busy city hotels.

Ashbury is surrounded by many places of natural and historic interest, and guests benefit from being only an hour away by car from outer London, Bath, Oxford, Cheltenham and the beautiful Cotswold towns.

The inn provides well-furbished accommodation, mostly en-suite. All rooms have colour televisions and beverage facilities.

The conference room has its own separate entrance, and a range of menus can be tailored to suit individual budgets.

Families with young children are welcome, along with the other family member - the dog!

"Being a Licensee is a fine and rewarding job", says Chris, and it helps that the Arkell’s directors are approachable. "We had a lot of help and they provide us with regular information, but ultimately it's up to us."

Chris Manners is the Licensee of three Arkell’s pubs. The Rusty Bicycle, The Rickety Press and The Bottle of Sauce
